Playwright George Bernard Shaw found a prime muse in English theatre star Mrs. Patrick Campbell (the part of Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion was written for her). Their decades-long tempestuous (but unconsummated) relationship was chronicled in a magnificent exchange of letters that became the basis for the 1957 play, Dear Liar, by Jerome Kilty. Veteran actors Tom Laskey and Carmen Rupe bring this legendary affair to life in a staged reading of the play. Reservations are suggested.
